THIRD MAINLAND: I Encourage Motorists to Cooperates with Traffic Officers – Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has calls on Motorists in the State to Cooperates with traffic Officers ahead of the Third Mainland Bridge closure.

Sanwo-Olu said in a statement on his verified Twitter handle. The statement read.

“Earlier today, I stopped at the Adeniji Adele end of the Third Mainland Bridge to inspect the ongoing effort to ensure the diversion and flow of traffic is on course“

“The repair of this bridge is long over due and I encourage motorists to cooperate with traffic officers“

“I also inspected the redesigned Allen Junction and Lekki roundabouts. I am impressed with the quality of work which will remove the usual gridlock around these areas“

“To boost public transportation, we will roll out 600 buses that will service Ikorodu, Abule Egba, Ikeja and Oshodi. The buses will be deployed next month. We will also be increasing bus capacity from Ikorodu to Tafawa Balewa Square“

“It is important to say again that despite the decrease in the pace of work caused by #COVID19 on the Pen Cinema Agege Bridge, I want to assure Lagosians that it will be completed by October“

“We remain undaunted in our commitment to improve the quality of lives of Lagosians.”

The Third Mainland Bridge was closed midnight on Friday, 24th of July 2020 for maintenance work and it is expected to last for Six months.
