How Wizkid united his three kids with ‘Smile’ video

Popular singer, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, has, for the first time, featured his three sons― Boluwatife, Ayo and Zion― in a music video.

The 30-year-old singer who usually shares pictures of just his first and third sons, Boluwatife and Zion, took many of his fans by surprise when he featured all three children in his latesMichae video, ‘Smile’, featuring Grammy Award-winning American singer, H.E.R. Since the video’s release, encomiums have continued to pour in for the singer from far and wide.

PUNCH gathered that the clip featured the children particularly to dispel the notion that the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer is an absentee dad who doesn’t spend time with his kids. It should be recalled that his second son’s mother, Binta Diallo, had called him out severally for allegedly abandoning his son.

On the other hand, Wizkid is frequently seen with his third child, Zion, and his mother, Jada Pollock. He also posts Zion’s pictures often on social media.    In the video, the three children wore white t-shirts, with big smiles plastered on their faces as they added a distinct flavour to their father’s music video which was dedicated to them.

Wizkid’s former record label, Empire Mates Entertainment’s bosses, Bankole Wellington (aka Banky W) and Tunde Demuren, also made guest appearances in the video. The song is contained in the singer’s forthcoming album, ‘Made in Lagos’, which is scheduled for release in October.
