Afcon: ‘Deeply disappointed’ says Alex Iwobi after Eagles draw with Sierra Leone

Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has said he his deeply disappointed after the four all draw with Sierra Leone in an Afcon qualifier.

The Super Eagles were leading 4-1 at halftime and later drew 4-4 with the Leone Star in Benin yesterday.

Iwobi open the scoring for the Eagles with just four minutes into the game. Victor Osimehn double the lead in the twenty-one minutes while Iwobi went on to score his second of the night in the twenty-five minutes.

Samuel Chukwueze capped it with a superb finished in the twenty-five minutes and Bangura U. score the Leone only goal in the first half.

Goals from; Kamara A. – 72′, 80′ and Bundu M- 86′ in the seond half make sure the Leone Star left Nigeria with a vital away point in the ongoing Afcon qualifier and sealed a 4-4 draw.

Iwobi said after the game;

“Deeply Disappointed , We’ll Work To Put Things Right.”
