The Oyo State Governor, Eng. Seyi Makinde has said that his administration has made plans to upgrade the Ibadan airport.
The Governor revealed this when the senate committee on aviation, led by Senator Smart Adeyemi visits him in Ibadan on Thursday.
Arguably, the best governor in Nigeria at the moment said: “This afternoon, we received the Senate Committee on Aviation led by Chairman, Senator Smart Adeyemi. I outlined the actions our administration has taken to upgrade the Ibadan Airport including reconstructing the access roads to the airport.”

“Our plan is to reap the economic benefits of making Ibadan Airport a regional hub for air travel and the alternative airport to our neighbour. Like Schiphol Airport, we want to be the place where people will spend a few days to “see” Oyo State, “buy and fly.” He said.
