Kylian Mbappe rejects PSG’s 6-year deal, choose Real Madrid over Lionel Messi

The contract between PSG and Kylian Mbappe will expire next summer and PSG are trying so hard to renew his stay at the club but the 22-year-old striker is trying by all means to exit the club.

Recall that PSG signed Lionel Messi after his contract with FC Barcelona expired on June 30, 2021, the speculation was that the arrival of Messi could convince Mbappe to stay at PSG.

However, the prestige of Lionel Messi could not tempt Mbappe to stay as the Frenchman is still determined to fulfill his dream of playing for Real Madrid.

Reports say Real Madrid are waiting anxiously to see how bad the relationship between Mbappe and PSG would be before they will strike with an offer PSG would not resist.

Also, reports claimed that Mbappe is ready to frustrate PSG’s effort to renew his contract in case the money Real Madrid brings to the French side for his signature is not tempting enough.

To prove that he does not see himself as a part of the club, Kylian Mbappe did not attend the birthday ceremony of Ander Herrera.

All the superstars at PSG attended the birthday party including the newly recruited superstars. Even Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos were in attendance.

The birthday party took place a day after PSG unveiled their new players to the fans of the club. The unveiling took place at PSG’s Parc des Princes minutes before PSG vs Strasbourg. PSG beat Strasbourg 4-2.

In a picture Herrera shared on social media, it was confirmed that Messi, Neymar, Ramos, and Achraf Hakimi were at the birthday party.

Others were Sergio Rico, Georginio Wijnaldum, Danilo Pereira, Juan Bernat, Rafinha, Mauro Icardi, Marco Verratti, Keylor Navas, Angel di Maria, and Leandro Paredes.

It is expected that Kylian Mbappe and the president of Paris Saint Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi would meet later today, August 16, 2021 for talks over his future.

After the talks, the 22-year-old striker is expected to make a public statement concerning his next move. It is expected that he would confirm that he would not renew his stay at PSG.
